How do I set up and edit my basic store profile?

Overview

Your store profile represents your business identity across StoreYug. It powers your public digital catalog link, customer checkout screens, invoice headers, and WhatsApp order messages.

🏪 Two Ways to Configure: First-time sellers complete these settings during initial setup. You can subsequently update any detail anytime from Store Settings > General tab.

Step-by-Step: Updating General Settings

  1. Log in to your StoreYug dashboard and click Store Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Select the General tab at the top.
  3. Fill in or update your store's basic information:

1. Business Name

  • Enter your brand or shop name (between 3 and 50 characters).
  • This name appears prominently on your storefront header, invoices, and shipping labels.

2. Store Username & Public Link

  • Enter your unique store handle (between 3 and 30 characters).
  • Use only lowercase letters, numbers, periods, or underscores (for example, my_boutique or fresh.bakes).
  • StoreYug automatically creates your public website address from this handle (e.g. my_boutique becomes storeyug.com/my_boutique/).

3. Business Type

Select the option that best fits your business:

  • From Home: Home bakers, boutique crafters, and social commerce sellers.
  • Retail Shop: Physical retail outlets, counters, and walk-in stores.
  • Manufacturer: Workshops, direct producers, and wholesale creators.
  • Other: Any other business or selling model not covered by the categories above.

4. WhatsApp Contact Number

  • Select your country code and enter your active WhatsApp mobile number.
  • This number powers the one-click Chat on WhatsApp and Call Store buttons on your storefront.

5. Store Bio

  • Write a short, welcoming introduction (between 10 and 150 characters) displayed right below your store title. Mention your specialties, delivery radius, or store hours.
💡 Saving Changes: Click Save General Settings at the bottom right to apply your updates immediately.
