How do I manage store visibility, online ordering, and COD toggles?

Overview

StoreYug includes simple on/off switches that adapt your storefront to different business models, holidays, or maintenance periods without changing any product data.

To access these controls, go to Store Settings > Features tab.

🎛️ Real-Time Switching: Toggling any switch updates your public storefront immediately after clicking Save Feature Settings.

Feature Controls Explained

1. Store Visibility

  • Default: ON (Visible).
  • What it does: Controls whether your public website and product catalog are visible to shoppers.
  • When to turn OFF:
    • Taking a vacation or shop break.
    • Conducting physical inventory stock-taking.
    • Preparing new collections before a major launch.
  • When OFF: Shoppers see a friendly maintenance message, while your admin dashboard remains fully accessible.

2. Show Product Prices

  • Default: ON (Prices Visible).
  • What it does: Displays product prices and add-to-cart buttons on your storefront.
  • When to turn OFF (Enquiry-Only B2B Mode):
    • Wholesalers and manufacturers whose prices depend on order quantities.
    • Bespoke makers, jewelry artisans, or custom fabricators.
    • Businesses operating on quote-on-request pricing.
  • When OFF: Prices and checkout buttons are hidden. Instead, each product card displays an Inquire on WhatsApp button pre-filled with the item title!

3. Online Ordering

  • Default: ON (Enabled).
  • What it does: Allows customers to place orders through your digital cart and checkout.
  • When to turn OFF:
    • Pausing incoming orders during peak kitchen or warehouse rush hours.
    • Outside your daily delivery hours, while still letting customers browse your menu.
  • When OFF: Customers can freely view products and details, but checkout is paused with a polite notification.

4. Accept Cash on Delivery (COD)

  • Default: OFF (Prepaid UPI only).
  • What it does: Displays a Cash on Delivery option during checkout.
  • When to turn ON: If you or your courier partners accept cash collection upon delivery.
  • When to leave OFF: If you sell custom made-to-order goods or prefer upfront UPI payments to avoid order refusal risks.
💡 Don't Forget to Save: After adjusting your desired switches, scroll to the bottom and click Save Feature Settings.
