Pricing Structure in StoreYug
StoreYug provides a clear and transparent pricing model designed for retail clarity:
- Price: The standard retail selling price (MRP / regular price) of the item.
- Discount: The direct flat amount discounted from the price (e.g. ₹100 discount on a ₹1000 item).
- Final Selling Price: Calculated automatically as:
Total = Price - Discount(e.g. ₹900).
Why Product Master Uses "Default Price for Variants"
When creating a product master, you enter Default Price for Variants (₹) and Default Discount (₹). This serves as your store's smart template:
- No Re-Typing (Pre-Filled): When you create 5, 10, or 20 variants for a product, StoreYug automatically pre-fills the price and discount on every new variant. You do not have to waste time typing the same price repeatedly!
- Freedom to Customize: If a specific variant has different manufacturing costs or sizing (e.g. 1 Kg vs 500 g, or XXL vs Small), you can easily overwrite and change the price when creating or editing that specific variant.
How Discounts Appear on Your Storefront
When you set a discount, StoreYug highlights it on your WhatsApp storefront:
- The original price is displayed with a strikethrough (e.g.,
₹1,000). - The final payable price is prominently displayed (e.g., ₹900).
- A dynamic "Save 10%" badge is displayed on the product card to boost customer purchase conversion.
💡 Note on Variant Pricing: When a product has variants, the variant's own price always takes precedence on the storefront, giving you total pricing control per SKU!
