Categories group similar products together—such as Summer Collection, Accessories, Footwear, or Best Sellers. Clean category organization helps customers find what they want in seconds.

How to Create a New Category

1. In your sidebar menu, click on Catalog → Categories.
2. Click the + Add Category button.
3. Category Name: Enter a clear category title (e.g., Casual Wear). Must be at least 3 characters.
4. Description (Optional): Add a short summary explaining what items are included.
5. Click Save Category.

Managing Existing Categories

• Toggle Active Status: Click the visibility toggle switch next to any category to instantly show or hide it on your customer storefront.
• Edit Category: Update the category name or description anytime.
• Delete Category: You can safely delete categories that have no active products. StoreYug prevents accidental deletion of categories containing products to protect your catalog integrity.
